Principal’s Message

Welcome to Lattie Coor Elementary School!

Thank you for making us part of your family and for exploring the outstanding education that our students receive in the Avondale School District! I want to inform you that Lattie Coor is developing a strong tradition of high student achievement, fostered by the outstanding staff and community. As we continue the proud collaboration between students, staff and parents, our mission is to create enthusiastic learners, effective communicators and kind citizens.

I would also like to share that Lattie Coor School serves students from preschool through 1st grade . Our emphasis is the development of the holistic child. As our students enter our campus we aim to help them develop skills that pertain to character, empathy as well as literacy and math. In addition, we have a strong foundation in Positive Behavior Interventions, which supports (PBIS), encouraging students and staff to engage in positive behaviors and celebrating the great accomplishments of our students. Along with our Get Along Program and Playworks, our students get to incorporate the Arts, music and physical education in their daily lives.

As we move forward in the year, I encourage you to stop by and visit the numerous classes that are available to our students. I also encourage you to partake in our PTO and participate in the numerous classes and activities we have for our parents. In closing, thank you again for visiting, and please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Best,

Geovanni Orozco
